We are happy to celebrate the remarkable journey of Dr. Okello Sharon Nagenjwa, who was recently awarded an Honorary PhD in Communication and Corporate Management from British American University, Florida. Dr. Sharon’s achievements are all the more impressive given that her career began at just 17 when she took on the role of Executive Assistant to the CEO of NBS Television. Her early start in such a prominent position set the foundation for what would become a career dedicated to leadership, empowerment, and service to her community.
In her various roles, including Executive Director of NUWEBIZ Foundation and Chief Executive Officer of Triumph Women Uganda, Sharon has focused her efforts on empowering women, particularly in Northern Uganda. Through these initiatives, she has created numerous opportunities for women to grow their businesses and gain financial independence. Her programs offer invaluable training in entrepreneurship, leadership, and financial literacy, giving women the confidence and skills to succeed. Her impact extends far beyond the borders of Uganda, as she continues to be a beacon of hope for women aspiring to improve their lives.
