Food Security and Climate-Resilient Agriculture

When the rains become unreliable, the first loss may be a crop. We help farmers and families grow food more reliably through demonstration gardens and practical training, from composting and drought-tolerant crops to irrigation, poultry and beekeeping.

Women’s Climate Resilience in Yumbe

Before training began, we spoke with 100 women in Yumbe about how climate pressure was changing their lives. Their answers shaped local-language training, demonstration gardens, seedlings and simple digital tools for refugee, displaced and host-community women.

Climate Education and Youth Leadership

Young people will live longest with today’s climate decisions. Through Green Libraries, Eco Labs, school clubs, youth centres, Climate Academies and innovation challenges, they gain the knowledge and confidence to take part in those decisions.

Climate Innovation Hackathons and Tech Camp

Kakebe Tech Camp 2025: 5 to 19 January

With KaKebe Technologies, a youth-led tech company in Lira, we work on climate innovation hackathons and the Kakebe Tech Camp, where young people learn robotics, AI and software and build climate and eco solutions. Camp 2025 trained 257 young people from across East Africa.

Clean Energy, Water and Restoration

Energy poverty, water insecurity and environmental loss often sit inside the same household. We work with communities on tree nurseries, clean cooking and biogas, briquettes, waste recovery and water access, easing pressure on families and the land at the same time.

BetterLife Renewable Pathways

We work on clean cooking in schools and refugee communities, including biogas, and on waste separation, plastic banks, recycling and reuse. More than 48 household biogas systems turn organic waste into cleaner cooking energy, and four school plastic banks help keep plastics out of the environment.

Digital Tools for Farmers

Technology is useful when it shortens the distance between a farmer and a good decision. Soilla and Agribusiness Connekt bring soil advice, climate information, finance and buyers closer, always paired with face-to-face support.

Soilla

Launched 2023

Our digital agricultural advisory platform gives farmers soil and crop guidance, climate information, market prices and agricultural services. It is paired with field training, because a phone and data alone do not make a tool useful.
